Description of Natural Vitamin E Oil, Topical Oil 1 oz, StarWest Botanicals
Natural Vitamin E Oil
The term vitamin E describes a family of eight antioxidants, four tocopherols, alpha-, beta-, gamma- and delta-, and four tocotrienols (also alpha-, beta-, gamma- and delta-). Excellent sources of vitamin E include: mustard greens, chard, sunflower seeds, and turnip greens. Very good sources include: broccoli, olives, kale, almonds, and papaya.
This first distillation mixed tocopherol oil is from soy, corn, canola or wheat. The first distillation yields mixed tocopherols, the second distillation yields D-Alpha vitamin E. Alpha-tocopherol is the only form of vitamin E that is actively maintained in the human body and is therefore, the form of vitamin E found in the largest quantities in the blood and tissue.
A natural Vitamin E oil obtained by vacuum distillation of vegetable fats. Great for preventing rancidity and as an anti-oxidant in creams, lotions, baby products, cosmetics and more. Externally, it is healing to skin. It is an effective membrane stabilizer that protects the skin from sun damage, reduces fine facial lines and wrinkles and generally improve skin smoothness.
Vitamin E oil is a common additive to massage oils and face creams. This oil, second distillation D-Alpha vitamin E Vitamin E oil, is cosmetic grade, for use as a skin conditioner, preservative or antioxidant. Our oil is a blend of 15,000 I.U D-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate per ounce and soy oil.
